Read more...香港足球會七人足球賽睽違3年後，下月將重臨，當中6度奪冠的阿士東維拉及衛冕之師紐卡素將來港爭逐錦標。 香港足球會主席Neil Jensen表示：「我們非常高興終於能將香港足球會七人足球賽帶回香港，再次歡迎各地朋友及足球界同仁來到這個亞洲國際大都會。過去3年對各人來說都充滿挑戰，但香港對足球的熱情源遠流長，期待在香港足球會的球場上，再次看到全球最優秀的年輕足球員之身影。」 賽事於1999年首次舉辦，上次舉行已是2019年，由於新冠肺炎肆虐被迫休賽3年。今年來到第21屆比賽，將一連3天於下月26至28日舉行，共26隊參加主賽事及名人賽。下周三（4月26日）將舉行抽籤儀式，先後效力昆士柏流浪、熱刺及紐卡素等球會的英格蘭前國腳費迪南（Les Ferdinand）將前來香港足球會負責抽籤。 主賽事共16隊參賽，當中不乏來自英格蘭的著名球會，阿士東維拉將力爭破紀錄第7度稱王，紐卡素則希望成為首支3連霸隊伍，兩屆冠軍李斯特城也將重臨，白禮頓及富咸亦以英超代表身份出賽。蘇格蘭勁旅格拉斯哥流浪、香港足球總會代表隊，以及港超聯冠軍傑志將與大埔一同參與主賽事。 維拉學院經理Mark Harrison表示：「很高興下月能重返香港足球會七人足球賽，我們期待在比賽中捍衛我們的紀錄，球員及工作人員都很期待前來體驗此項比賽。根據前幾年經驗，我們知道在球場上和球場外都有很多美好機會。祝願所有參與人士一切順利，期待很快見到大家。」
