Hong Kong Football Club is one of Asia’s most distinguished and well-respected sporting clubs. With a 125-year plus history, the club has been host to some of Asia’s most popular sports events including the Soccer Sevens since 1999 and rugby’s Hong Kong Tens since 1986. The world-famous Hong Kong Sevens started out at the HKFC in 1976 and the club hosted the event until 1981, after which the growing number of spectators resulted in a move to the Government Stadium, which was later redeveloped into what we now know as Hong Kong Stadium.
