About HKFC Junior Soccer
A chairman and committee of volunteers organise HKFC Junior Soccer within the HKFC Soccer Section, while all head coaches and coaches are volunteer parents and others willing to give up their time.
As the largest programme of its kind in Hong Kong, HKFC Junior Soccer currently has more than 650 players ranging in age from U-6 to U-14.
These groups are structured into an all-inclusive community programme for as many players as can be accommodated, club members and non-members.
Up to the U-14 age group, the programme has teams competing in the Hong Kong Junior League against other local clubs and soccer schools.
Additionally, at U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16 and U-18 levels, HKFC runs a Youth Pathway Programme for players selected by trial who represent the club in the HKFA’s Jockey Club Youth League. These squads have independent professional head coaches who select and coach the players.
All HKFC Junior Soccer coaches are expected to successfully complete the English FA Level One equivalent three-day course, which the programme arranges and funds for all the volunteer coaches.
